Construction Careers Can Start in More Places Than You Might Expect!

This #ConstructionInclusionWeek, we’re highlighting four of the different paths that brought members of our team to CDA.
For Harrison Lownes, that path began in marketing before leading into construction marketing and eventually estimating. David Kosick, CHST, OHST, STSC brought 20 years of Coast Guard experience across construction and maintenance roles into a career spanning health and safety and, ultimately, construction supervision. Carmen Pratico moved from Sport and Recreation Management into operations, accounting, and project accounting.
And our very own founder and CEO, Lisa Casiello, ASID, built on her background in design to establish a career spanning more than 40 years across design, construction, and project management, including founding and leading CDA.
Together, their stories reflect just a few of the many ways people can find their place in construction, continue growing once they’re here, and build long-term careers around very different strengths and experiences.
Sharing those different paths matters. So does creating workplaces where people feel respected, supported, and able to thrive.
