CDA Joins Industry Leaders to Celebrate and Advance WIC Week 2026
When leaders intentionally invest in women, the entire industry moves forward.
During Women in Construction Week, CDA was proud to participate in and support several inspiring events alongside the incredible leaders working to advance women across the construction industry.
The week began with the NAWIC Philadelphia Chapter WIC Week Kickoff Breakfast, where CDA President Holly Goodroad, P.E. joined fellow industry leaders for a powerful panel discussion on how we intentionally level up women in the workplace. From sponsorship over mentorship to creating visible opportunities and building supportive cultures, the conversation set an energizing tone for the week ahead.
Midweek, CDA had the privilege of hosting our own WIC Week panel discussion at Merck, bringing together an outstanding group of women leaders — Kimberly Schnabel, @Megan Watts, Gina Dempsey, and Jaki Chiango, P.E. — who shared real-world experiences about advocating for opportunity, amplifying voices, and helping others grow within the industry.
The week concluded with NAWIC Philadelphia’s Mental Health & Decompression Event, proudly sponsored by CDA. In a fast-paced industry, taking intentional time to reset and prioritize mental well-being is essential. Supporting women in construction means supporting the whole person. Sponsoring this event reflects CDA’s commitment to supporting mental health and suicide awareness within the construction community.
A huge thank you to NAWIC Philadelphia, our panelists, and everyone who helped make these conversations possible.
